This year, the Foundation chose to become a partner in the transformation of the legal culture by choosing to develop activities on the topic of participatory justice and the dispute prevention and resolution processes.
We wish to demonstrate that these methods of conflict resolution are complementary to traditional justice procedures. The majority of Quebecers prefer to use arbitration, mediation or conciliation rather than settle a conflict in court.
We signed the Declaration for Participatory Justice and participated in round tables dedicated to the subject with several partners from the legal community.
We launched our grants program on how these processes are changing traditional justice.
Our annual benefit dinner, was also on this theme. In addition, we are developing a new guide for the general public on the subject.
